Hi all. I figured out how to turn on stereo mix in Windows 7. If you don't know how, PM me or something and I will tell you. Anyway, I was peacefully working on my computer, when a cocophony of sound burst out of my speakers. I turned them down, and low and behold, stereo mix has made an echo effect on my computer. How do I stop that? It is a problem!

Use headphones when useing a mick .
see what is happenin is your speakers are pickin up what is bein said in the mick and and it goes to the speakers, which bounce it back to the mic again.

If you already know how to turn on Stereo Mix, then you also know about the effects? Turn it off!
Go to the card and turn off all effects and start over. For some reason it switched on you.

In the volume control, what is the purpose of the slider labeled Stereo Mix?

Equalization, or how you want your sound or recording split. If you can read the manual for your sound card it will explain. All are not the same.
